💬 My Thoughts:
I’ve always struggled with maintaining focus for long periods. I can’t really explain why, but it’s been a challenge for me. What this book taught me, however, is that it’s not about drastically changing who you are, but about accepting yourself and building on who you already are.
For example, I’ve never been good at sticking to long lists of goals, even if it was just achieving 1% more each day. I’d often fail when I had too many things on my plate. Even if something was as simple as putting my gym bag by the door, it could sit there for months, and I’d still avoid it. This brought me a lot of dissatisfaction.
What I learned from „Atomic Habits“ is that it’s okay to take it one step at a time. I’ve started to focus on doing one thing at a time. I’ve learned to love myself and accept myself as I am, understanding that I can go at my own pace. I now set goals that feel right for me, and I’m okay with that.
📌 Key Takeaways:
Small habits compound into big successes
Identity matters more than goals (“I am someone who …”)
Your environment has a greater impact on your habits than motivation

Tracking and rewarding habits boosts progress
